Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had headaches 24 hours per day for the last 13 days, my blood pressure readings during that time have been 169/105, 165/100 and today 159/108. I have never had high BP before, I am a healthy 48 year old about 126 ponds in weight, 5ft 4. I am taking analgesics only for the headaches
Thanks for contacting HCM. dear patient your headache is due to high blood pressure. Although you are probably using an electronic BP instrument which are not known for their accuracy, still the BP readings are high. I would suggest that you go to your doctor and get your BP checked, if found to be high then your doctor will suggest appropriate investigations and prescribe appropriate medication. Your headache will go away once the BP becomes normal. Regards
