Can Hernia Surgery Cause Reduced Libido?

My husband had inguinal hernia surgery three years ago. We have been actively trying to conceive for 18 months now. However I m still not pregnant! He stated that after his surgery a couple of years ago he noticed his sex drive had decreased dramatically. Could the surgery be the cause of our issue today?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
No. Not at all. Hernia is a surgery for intestinal appendage protrusion. It has nothing to do with sexual activity.
It is more of psychological than medical cause for decreased libido.
Spend little more time in foreplay and encourage him to stay active during intercourse so that your sexual activity comes back to normal.
