Can Herbal Supplements And Diet Help With Rheumatoid Arthritis?

i was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and am in a full blown flare-up. i am trying to monitor the symptoms with diet and herbal supplements as i do not want to use pharmaceuticals because of all the side affects. however nothing is changing... a real concern is when i use my infra-red sauna and i have it set on 6/7 (high is 10) and i am not sweating at all. i have never been one who sweats to begin with... but this is a real concern... any info is greatly appreciated... also any other suggestions and info would be helpful thank you! with love and light, kate

I am sorry about your diagnosis of rhaumatoid arthritis . Unfortunately there is no cure for this disease. You can only control the symptoms and prevent flare from happening. And i am afraid just using herbs and diet wont help you. There are no such studies which show that herbs can help with rheumatoid. You can reduce weight if you are over weight by improving your quality of diet. That will put less weight on your weight bearing joints and may help with the symptoms. I agree that the drugs for rheumatoid do have many side effects but i believe that with trying different drugs you can find out which drugs suit you more. You should talk to your primary care physician about giving you more information about various type of drugs available.
Hope i answered your question.
