Can Hearing Loss Occur Due To Right Ventricular Shunt?

My Mother has a right vent. shut can this cause hearing loss sounds silly but ...no head aches as her neuro surgeon said when her shunt may fail she would experience headaches - she has had her shunt placement going on three years - age is 77. Have had her ears checked her hearing loss seems to becoming rapidly increased.

in my opinion it's very uncommon. if it is so, it not because of shunt, in fact it may be the result of drugs she is taking. 2nd most common cause is Viral infection. shunt is not the cause for hearing loss.
