hi and thanks for the query,
this shall depend on the blood cholesterol levels. Diet is mainly useful to control blood cholesterol during the preventive phase. In case the cholesterol level is high, this shall depend on the levels. Generally, drugs would for sure be required for some time before adopting a diet and physical exercise approach. Diet at times in insufficient in cases of already declared pathologic or disease state high cholesterol levels. Kind regards

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

You should be definitely cautious about this high cholesterol and triglycerides.
Because you are at high risk of heart disease or stroke.

As both your cholesterol and triglycerides are high, you should go for thorough cardiac evaluation to rule out any heart disease.
Myocardial infarction or Heart attack are now coming common in younger ages.

If you have heart disease or family of heart disease, you should take drugs called statins like Atrovostatin to control the cholesterol.
And also you will benefit from statins, if you take statins now itself.
Because statins are very effective in lowering the incidence of heart disease.

Continue your exercise regularly.
Avoid deep fried and fat rich foods.
Check whether you have diabetes or not.
Take fibre rich fruits and vegetables.
If you are smoker, quit smoking.

Have regular annual check up and also check your lipid profile once in 3 to 6 months based on your control over lipid profile by following above said measures.

Hope this helps.
Please write back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
