Can Healing From A Broken Wrist Cause Fatigue?

Hi, I broke my wrist 1/3/16. Cast removed, 2/1, splint and PT to follow (this week so far). I am a 60 yr old female in generally good health, br ca survivor 15 yrs. I am currently experiencing extreme fatigue daily. Even after a good night s sleep, I am exhausted. I only mentioned the cancer b/c I haven t felt this awful since I was taking chemo. PT thinks it s just the healing bone. I take Trazodone at night, and was prescribed Meloxicam, which I took for a few nights, but I thought the combination might be making me more tired, so quit that. Thank you for your thoughts.

The Trazodone will most likely be the main cause of your drowsiness. It breaking your wrist or other related circumstances have added to your depression, which can cause you to sleep longer that usual as well The Meloxicam has little to no interaction with the Trazodone, so that was no the issue. Try lowering your dose of Trazodone.
