Can Headache, Mouth Numbness And Dysgeusia Caused By A Dye Be Treated?
Hi Im in the process of lightening my hair from dark to blonde. I ve sued my hair many times before and bleached only once before until today. I went to Sally s beauty and bought hair bleach and used early this morning. Then T about 3 used hair dye or a toner in ash blonde to eleven the Orange color. While I had on the dye I started to get a headache with a funny taste in my mouth and the back of my mouth felt sort of numb. I shampooed it out but still have a headache slightly and my head burns a bit. What do I do?
Hello! Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern. I think that the troubles you have had may be caused by a toxic effect of the hair dye. It may be caused by the amount of the dye which has been absorbed by your head skin or from the small amount of gasses released from the dye which you have taken by inhalation. It may have been an allergic reaction too, because the numb mouth and burning skin may be signs of allergic reaction too. I would advise you not to use this kind of dye again, and to change into another type. Do not worry, because the symptoms you have are going to get better spontaneously! I would advise to drink a lot of fluids today. Hope to have been helpful! Greetings! Dr. Aida
