Can Having Undergone Cataract Surgery Be Related To Puffiness And Redness Of Eyes?

My mother is 88 in a nursing home. last 6 months shre has been puffy and red around her eyes. They do not seem to know what is causing it. It is bad now. Catarac surgery was two years ago in one eye only. any ideas? they are going to try antibiotic eye drops again.

first the cause of puffiness and red eye is to be diagnosed, it can be reaction to iol. antibiotic and steroid in drop or sub cojuctival injection may be tried.
