Can Having Intercourse With A Man Who Had Vasectomy Cause Pregnancy?
Hi. Im 20yrs old with pretty regular cycle. I have had some mild cramping for about a week as if I was going to start my period like normal but I never started. I am now 4 days late and last night I started spotting a light pinkish orange goo like discharge I guess I would call it and it only lasted about 9 hours then stopped completely but im still having mild cramping. I am sexually active with a man who has had a visectomy for roughly 3 years and im curious if pregnancy could be a possibility. I have done some research and some sites say that procedures like that can sometimes reverse themselves.
Vasectomy is a surgical technique in which the vas deferens is cut and ligated to stop sperm from being produced. It is an irreversible procedure and rarely it can get reversed on its own. Therefore if your partner had vasectomy done then it is unlikely that it is reversed.
If your periods were not usual and were less then please wait a few days. It is possible that you have hormonal imbalances and this requires clinical evaluation. To confirm whether you have a pregnancy, you can do the home pregnancy test 15 days after sex with your partner. Please do not worry.
