Can Gay Feelings Be Suppressed?

I am not sure if you are the right person to contact but I am in a desperate situation. perhaps you can help(If not help, then at least guide me in the right direction)
Sir, im 29 yrs old and i have been gay all my life. I am Sick of this life style and have tried many many many times to quit being one. (hate this sinful life) but i have failed every time.
What i need to know from you is if i can ever live a life of a normal straight person or am i stuck with this sinful life forever.
can these gay feelings be suppressed? is there a cure or treatment for my problem?
