Can Formula Be Given To A Child Showing Refusal To Breast Feed?

my baby is born on 7th june, she does not take my feed, infact when i give her expressed milk she throws up. She is now fully on formula.I have tried everything that she accepts my feed but all in vain.Is it ok if she on formula as many of my friends kids have faced this problem and there kids are growing well

Hi...if the kid is refusing to feed even expressed breast milk then she may not be liking the taste. Formula feeding given at the proper dilution is good. BUT MOTHERS MILK IS THE BEST FOR THE BABY. As she has completed 6months now you can as well start rice based feeds too. Add ghee to it for taste and it will make the food calorie dense too. You can start one type of cereal or pulses or fruit per week.
