Can Follicle Size Decrease As Menstruation Approaches?

Doea follicle size decrease as your approach the end of cycle? I have 4 follicles per ovary and the largest measures 12mm and smaller 7mm but I m bound to have periods any time. Does follicle size reduce right before periods? Shed some light on the reports

the follicle size becomes the largest just before your ovulation time and it bursts releasing the ovary. so if you are going to start your period the follicle size will still enlarge till you reach ovulation period around your 10-14 th day of your circle approximately it varies from one individual to other individual.
