Can Fever Or Its Medicines Cause Black Colour Stools?
I have high fever for the last nine days, today it is 99 c .I am taking medicine regularly since then. To my utter surprise I noticed black color stool pass. Is it a matter of worry? or it is a result of fever. What should I do so that it may be normal
Hello, Although it could be normal but still you should get the stool checked for presence of occult blood. Small Bleeding from stomach due to the meications can result in dark coloured stool and hence it needs to be investigated. Consult your doctor and don't ignore it. Thanks
