Can Excess Consumption Of Magnesium Citrate Have Any Side Effects?
I drank a 10 Fl OZ (296ml) of magnesium citrate to relieve constipation with less than great results. 7 hours later I drank approximately 6 ozs of another 10 oz bottle. After reviewing the dosage information, I realized I should not have consumed the additional 6 oz. amount. I have drank approximately 24 ozs of water. Any advice - or should I take any precautions? It has been approximately a45 minutes with no adverse reaction. Thank you.

I can understand your concern. I would advise you not to worry about this extra one time dose as there are very rare chances that it can cause you any severe side effects when taken at an interval of 7 hours.
However, if you develop severe abdominal pain or diarrhea, you should consult a physician for the treatment of overdose.
