Can Electric Shock Causes The Blood Pressure To Go Up By 160/85?

Yesterday I received an electric shock of 230 volts between my fingers of right hand, I have had a heart operation of my aortic valve, and arteries just 2 weeks ago. But ever since my shock my blood pressure keeps going high sometimes 160 over 85. Could you please tell me some advice on this

Hi there,

Yes, electric shock can cause blood pressure to go up. In your case, where you had an aortic valve operation 2 weeks ago, further evaluation by cardiologist is needed to exclude heart damages due to electric shock.

So, I highly advise to get an appointment with your cardiologist as soon as possible to catch problems and get them treated in time.
