ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to health care magic,

I am Dr Sriram Nathan an ENT surgeon and I will try to help you out with your problems.

Ear wax can cause lots of problems though it seems harmless but it is unlikely that the severe headache which you are suffering from can be from ear wax however severe it can be.

The site of the headache can be just above the ear but the most common causes of headache is stress or tension headache (in your case could be staring at the computer screen for 8 hrs), vision problem, sinus problem which is more common and likely in your case.

In any case you must consult an ENT surgeon who will remove your wax and suggest you proper investigation to get to the root cause of the headache. You may do a CT PNS and get back to me or the ENT with the report.

Do not try to clean the wax, you will end up doing more harm than good

hope this helps

regards

Dr Sriram Nathan
