Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that as you are diagnosed with
Strep throat that is a bacterial
throat infection and you need to take antibiotics for it and as Penicillin is given to you it is appropriate for bacterial infection and also the dosage is alright..
You should not take 3 pills at once as it can cause overdosage and as you did not explain how much dose of penicillin is given to you you should consult you treating physician before any alteration in the dosage..
To relieve the
sore throat you can however take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation an use a humidifier in your room..
Suck throat lozenges..
Other part of your question is:
Pain in left jaw radiating to ear can be however unrelated to strep throat and can also be related to
tooth infection, inflamed gum flap over wisdom tooth etc..
Therefore a check-up with a
dentist is to be done and if needed an x ray
As of now you can take Ibuprofen and also do cool compresses over the cheek for relief..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
