Can Deviated Septum In Nose Cause Gurgle Sound With Pronunciation?

Hi
Im 29 year old female - Ive had a deviated septum for many years. While I was pregnant I noticed an issue with my nose when pronouncing nasal consonants - I get a little bit of friction with nasal mucus, i.e. a gurgle. This only occurs when I say words with n, m, ng and it's only on the n, m or ng sound. Sometimes it feels like I have to push through nasal mucus to get the sound out, sometimes it's just like a gurgle sound. Im no longer pregnant and this has continued for almost 4 months. Any ideas of what would cause this?
Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Your specific question about the deviated septum causing symptoms of difficulty in proper pronouncing of some words with n and m which continued during pregnancy and even when not pregnant now indicates that you have symptomatic deviation.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get an opinion of an ENT Surgeon, get nasal endoscopy and CT scan of the nose and sinuses to get a proper diagnosis so that a proper management can be planned.
First of of use of oral and topical nasal decongestants, multivitamins, any medicines for anxiety or stress if you have and see the results.
If the medical treatment fails you may need a corrective surgery.
If needed a proper endoscopic surgery to correct the deviation will help to get you breast possible breathing and open nasal airway.
