Can Detached Retina Be Repaired While Suffering From Episcleritis?
Hi, I have been diagnosed with episcleritis. I have had a recurring episode in the spring in the last 2 years. The last one was really scary, too close to the cornea. This has happened in my left eye. I have had tests done but we don't know what causes it. The part that really scares me is that I have a detached retina in my right eye and ma completely blind. I worry that I wont catch the scleritis in time and it will effect my cornea. I still have episodes every now and then with the inflammation but not as serious as the episodes in the spring. What should I do? I go to an regular opthalmologist and have seen 1 specialist. The detached retina is a childhoood disorder, told I have had it too long to repair. I am 54 years old and very scared. I wake up every night and open my eyes so make sure i still have my vision.

I understand your apprehension, no need to worry episcleritis is a benign disease it will not lead to loss of vision.
