Hello,
With an empty gestation sac, review is necessary along with serial serum beta-hCG titres to establish pregnancy. In a successful pregnancy, fetal pole, fetal cardiac activity and yolk sac can be identified at a later sonogram along with doubling titres of serum beta-hCG every 2-3 days. You can continue using the medication until further evaluation. If positive, you can continue with it. Else, you may need an evacuation, medical or surgical. Your symptoms could be related. Hope this helps.
