Can Crohn S Disease Be Treated With Diet?

Hi.. I was recently diagnosed with Crohn s disease, specifically, Ileitis. I have been taking Entocort and have been gaining weight and feel bloated constantly. I m wondering if this disease can be managed by diet or if there are drugs other than steroids that can help. Thank you.

IN the given situation of Yours, you seem to suffer from-Crohn's Disesae.
The treatment are of Multimodality and main base is on diet control, reducing the flare ups in Crohn's disease.Medicines base is mainly steroids, with immunomodality meds and biological drugs to control inflammatory bowel disease.
Micronutrient like Iron,Calcium, Vit B12 / Tab Folic acid/ Zinc, magnesium, selenium etc are needed to recoup malabsorption Syndromes accompanied with chronic Crohn's disease.
Other causes mimicking Crohn's disease need to be ruled out like-Ulcerative Colitis/Entero-colitis-bacterial,protozoal,helminth induced from food ingestion.
GI Specialist and Surgeon -endoscopist would be needed for Surgical resection in extreme cases of Crohn's Disease.
This plan would reduce your dilemma for treating Crohn's Disease by diet .
