I have had a pretty bad cough for the last few days. I work in construction. I am only a temporary volunteer on this job until November, but I am also a singer so I worry about my voice. Is there much damage that could be done in that amount of time, or if I leave the industry after that is whatever I might have picked up likely to be haelable. (would have been 10 monts by then)
you seem to have dust allergy. try to treat your cough. wear mask when you are working at your site. try to be away from dust as much as possible.your vocal cords must be congested so strict voice rest is advisable for time being. take lot of steam inhalation. don't speak in high pitch, take short intervals during speaking. don't sing for sometime till your cough is relieved. don't worry its curable. just you need voice rest and dust avoidance.
