HIV transmission can only occur when there is a direct and prolonged exposure to body fluids, semen, vaginal fluid, blood or mother to child through breast feeding. This most commonly occurs through unprotected vaginal or anal sex and sharing of needles. Then VL(Viral Load) is an important variable which becomes undetectable when ART is taken . So as the pt is on ART so even if vaginal fluid may have contained few HIV , it will require direct and prolonged exposure . So no worries , keep well . Thanks

Hi, contact with vaginal fluid has definite chance of hiv infection. because hiv virus is present in high amount in vaginal fluid. However your symptoms are not of hiv. Because hiv symptoms does not develop so early.you should go for confirmatory hiv testing once after a month of exposure. You can go with p24 antigen or pcr. thanks for using health care magic.
