Can Contact Allergy Cause Welts On Arm And Eye Swelling?
My 10 yr old got scratched on the arm by a black walnut tree. Her scratch welled up & then hives/welts appeared on her other arm. Gave small dose of Benedryl. Hour later her eyes swelled. Would this just be a contact allergy or should she now not eat nuts??? And have some allergy testing done?

I really appreciate your concern, if the causative allergen are known then be patience and it will be okay, if not then second generation anti-histamine can be used, like Tab Levocetirizine 10 mg three times in day hope this information helps.
