Can Cold Compress Lead To Swelling After Injecting The Arm?

i had a friend shoot me up in my hand, last night it didnt hurt and was just a little swollen, i put a cold comprass on it all night now i read i should have had a hot compress, woke up this am and my hand feels achy and is only slightly swollen, does this sound like an abscess or may be the needle just went thru the vien

You have done the right thing.Cold compresses ,. immediately after the injury help in stopping bleeding.The swelling will disappear will the passage of time.
