Can Citalopram Effect Pregnancy Test Results?

Can citalopram efffect pregnancy test results.ive not been taking my pill since february and for past 2 months not had a proper period just spotting ive got sore breasts and tired but everytime i do a test it says negative .or is it wishfull thinking.

No, the citalopram will not produce a false-positive pregnancy test. The irregular cycles, in the setting of a negative pregnancy test, is likely related to irregular or absent ovulation. If you are trying to get pregnant, then this is important to sort out why this is happening. Schedule a visit with your OB/GYN and have them perform testing of your thyroid, diabetes and PCOS.
