Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is it possible that I ve caused damage to the epiglottis after having a hard cough for a few days? It feels like something is stuck, though I doubt it s food. Every time I need to cough, I need to burp as well. I m not having trouble breathing and I can eat food, but it just doesn t feel right. Is this something that will go away after the cough has run its course?

Yes respiratory tract can be damaged by any infection and cough. Thats something that vicks vaporub shows in their atv ad. So use some lozenges or cough syrup like pulmonol 1tsf × tds.
