Can Change In The Room Temperature Cause Allergies?

Hi! I am having allergies right now but not because of food or dust. I don't have fever and I feel very well. The allergies are like map. They will start as a tiny red dot then will spread eventually like a red map all over my body. They are embossed and very itchy. I feel like every time I have been in a cold area, like in an air conditioned room then if I go out of that room wherein the temperature is around 25-30 degrees Celsius then this allergies will start.

What do you call this? Can this be really caused by the change in the room temperature?

Hi thanks for posting your query on health care magic.

As per symptoms the onset of allergic manifestations with map like areas on skin on exposure to cold is termed as 'cholinergic urticaria".

This form of urticaria is due to intrinsic overactivity of autonomic nerves leading to symptoms of itching.

It can also occur in fluctuations in environmental conditions like exposure to sunlight, wind etc.

Antihistaminics are the drugs of choice to treat this condition.

Consult your doctor for further queries.
Thank you
