Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 65 yrs old and just had my first bone density scan, which showed some bone loss. My doctor wants to meet with me to discuss the results and will undoubtedly recommend Boniva or something similar. I m wary of prescription drugs, and before I meet with her, I would like to know if these types of meds have side effects that should concern me and whether there are effective alternatives to stop or reverse bone loss?
