Can Bone Increase In Throat Cause Irritating Throat And Sharp Pain In The Ear?

sir my wife having problem in ear and throat.she feeling something is irritating in throat and sharp pain in both ears.drs said that bone of throat has increased.but this type of pain is just her imagination not due to bone increased.

i m not understanding is it realy mental or physical problem.because every dr.tells other type of investigations.now she is taking tegrital 100mg and pregabalin bd.she is 27 yearsold.and having this problem from last 1 and half month.but mostly after the eamination of dr when dr puted his finger in mouth on increased bone to examine

Hi.
This is the case where nothing is for sure and the patient's complaints can be vague and the opinions of all the Doctors may differ.
I would advise you to put in the complaints in a full as the proper history is most diagnostic in almost all the patients.
If your Doctor has suggested for increased bone, then it is the stylohyoid syndrome he must be thinking of.
I would advise you the following:
MRI of the whole pharynx to get the proper diagnosis and to follow the treatment accordingly.
Addition of Tegritol and Gabapentin is suggestive of a Neurological problem and can be added on by a psychological issues as you have correctly noted.
A second opinion of a Neurologist and a Psychiatrist if needed can be sought.
