Can Blood In Sputum While Coughing Be A Sign Of Pneumonia Or Tuberculosis?

My grand mother in law aged 75 is getting blood cough from last 2 month ... ct scan n sputum ctylogy test n few blood test r done.,, ct scan impression says multiple variable sized irregular ground glass attenuation nodules In both d lungs predominently in d peripheral and subpleural interstitium.no calcification or cavitation seen .DIfferentials could be eosonophillic pneumonia, sub acute hsp, fungus aetiology. Plz advice wat shd be our next step.v visited few doctors who doubted for tb or a cancer ... sputum cytology test says no maligancyor tuberclosis evidence seen ....plz advice such cases patient may hv cancer whn ct doent specify it .?

Its unlikely to be primary malignancy of the lung, as primary malignancy oy lung is rarely bilateral.
Possibility of metastatic cancer is to be considered, also interstitial lung disease cannot be ruled out. Would suggest HRCT and CT guided Biopsy of the lesion
