Can Beta Haemolytic Streptococcus Be Infected From Oral Sex?
my husband has beta haemolytic streptococcus group, it is possible this could have been passed to me just by him giving me oral sex. I have some sysmtons but thought it might be cyctitis. Also is it possible he could have picked this up from another sexual partner
Yes it is possible that Streptococcal infection can be transmitted by oral sex. If you are in child bearing age and planning then sometimes Streptococcus agalactae may interfere and cause complications in pregnancy also. You are advised to get Urine/Vaginal culture done and take the treatment accordingly based on sensitivity pattern. Yes it is possible that he might have picked it from another sexual partner too.
