Can Balanitis And Fungal Infection Be Caused Due To Sexual Intercourse?

hi i am 43 years old male over weight had sex with a lady friend a while ago. and when i pulled out off her i saw my penis head had green patch on it . I continued to have sex but did not cum inside off her. after that had a shower. we had sex for around 3 week . after that i got yeast infection i went to my doctor he gave me anti fungul tablet and anti bio . after that i have devolpted Balanitis . i went to my gp again and did a full blood work and found that i am low in vit D. also my suger level in the blood was 6.5. he gave me anther anti fungul tablets. but the balanitis did not go away . he did anther blood test which gtt . I had asked him is it related with sex he said to me NO.I had previous problems before in that area . cuz i have syct on one off my ball and one ball retracted . used to have a lot off pain in my groins .before having sex.

Hello.
You certainly can acquire a yeast infection from a woman. Yeast infections are very common in women and you would be more prone to them if you are not circumcised or if you have diabetes. Sometimes you need a longer treatment course than one or two pills. you could try over the counter miconazole cream or nystatin powder. keep the area dry as much as possible. Hope you feel better soon!
