Can Bacterial Infection Proteus Mirabilis Go On Its Own Or Should I Take Antibiotics?

Hello, I am 3 wks post c section. My incision got infected. My doc ran some tests and I was told I have the bacterial infection Proteus marabilis. My incision looks like it is healing on its own. My question is will this infection go away on its own or do I have to take the antibiotics prescribed?

Hello,
It is my privilege to be able to help you
I have gone through history, followed by your C section your wound got infected and the lab report showed the growth of a bacteria proteus marabilis.
P. mirabilis can be diagnosed in the lab only.
I would like to suggest you to continue the antibiotics prescribed by your treating doctor. Definitely you require the drug prescribed by your doctor for complete wound healing.
Thank you
