For approx 15 years I have been feeling really hot. I am 56 years old. The symptoms have got worse over the years but have been hot and sweating and feeling so hot that I want to pass out with the heat. Sweating from head to foot. My GP puts out down to the menopause but I haven't had a period for 8 years. I have tried all sorts of things to help like Black cohosh, sage, phyto soya but nothing helps. I am not allowed to take HRT and don't want to as my mother died from Breast cancer aged 30. At the end of last year my GP gave me prozac to help with heat and these actually worked for some months and then the heat came back again. My thyroid has been checked and is okay. I have suffered from depression on and off for many years and have had asthma since I was 14. Could it be the asthma drugs that are causing this - e.g. Ventolin, Fostair and Uniphyllin? I am at my wits end.
