Can Anal Fissure Cause Constipation?

Can anal fissure cause constipation. I can feel stool present in my rectum by it is not contracting to remove stool. I have acute anal fissure also for which I have to undergo surgery next week. I always feel my rectum going into spasm. Sometimes it overflow then stool comes out. My doc said it is only because of fissure.

Thanks for using HCM.

Constipation causes anal fissure. Anal fissure is a painful condition and causes spasm of the anal sphincter. Pain and spasm in turn worsens constipation.
So it is a vicious cycle.
