Hi I have had a really sore (R) knee for the past year or so, worsened 3 months ago I had an MRI done and it showed: a complex lobulated ganglion cyst in the medial anterior hoffa s fat pad, immediately anterior to the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus, it states that it is deep to the inferior aspect of the medial patellofemoral ligament / patellar retinaculum. it measures 29mm x 14mm axially and extends over a craniocaudal height of 29mm. it also said that there is moderately severe chondral thinning an chondral surface irregularity at the apex and deial facet. minor chondral surface irregularity of the lateral facet. and moderately severe central trochlear groove chondromalacia, with chondral clefting extending to the subchondral bone plate and subchondral cystic change. could you please explain what this means and if any treatment would be considered, regards Mila
