Can An Online Doctor Help With Chest And Rib X-ray?

I recently had a chest and rib x-ray done. The results showed that the heart size was mildly prominent. There was no vascular congestion. There was chronic appearing lung markings likely sequels of chronic small disease. There are some mild pleural thickening along the right lateral chest. Could you tell me what all this means and is it anything I need to be worried about?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Mildly prominent heart size may be due to hypertension. It doesn't require any treatment.Only controlled blood pressure is necessary.
There is no vascular congestion.
Coarse lung markings may be due to many reasons like chronic bronchitis, age related etc.You need clinical correlation.
Mild pleural thickening along the right lateral chest may be sequel of infection.Infection heals by fibrosis.

Hope I have answered your question.

Take Care
