Hello. Welcome to healthcaremagic. This is a MRI report of lower back of a patient having back pain due to compression of nerves due to overgrowth of part of vertebral bone. Lamina is a part of vertebrae overgrowth of which compresses the spinal nerves which in this case are L5 and S1. Patient having this would have pain that radiates along the posterior thigh and posterolateral aspect of the leg. Pain may also radiate to lateral aspect of the foot, lower aspect of foot and the large toe. Laminectomy is a surgical procedure to remove overgrown part of lamina and reduce the nerve compression.
Wish you good health.
