Can Acidity Problem And Happi IT Cause Increase In The Size Of Tummy?

I am having a acidity problem for which I am under treatment for. The tablets I am taking are Happi IT and these tablets are taken only in the morning 20 minutes before breakfast. I have now been taking these tablets for the last 2 months and during these 2 months I have found that my weight has remained constant but my stomach has increased in size. Do these tablets that I take is causing for my stomach to increase.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
You are taking Happi IT tablet that is Rabeprazole the PPI and Itopride which is a motility regulator and is actually given for hyperacidity related problems along with motility disorder and helps in reducing the bloating.
Since you are taking this for 2 months and getting increased size in stomach in spite of maintained weight mean there may be a problem as follows:
Deposition of fat in abdominal wall.
Gaseous distension of the intestines.
Ascites that is accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity.
This may not be due to the medication that you are taking.
You may still do the following:
Stop Happi IT and take plain Happi that is Rabeprazole and see for the results.
Investigation of the abdomen by Contrast enhanced CT scan, Standing X-ray of the abdomen.
Tests of blood for sugar, thyroid , liver and kidney functions.
Tests of stool and urine.
Clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and gives a plan for proper management.
