Can Absence Of Cardiac Activity In A 7 Week Old Fetus Result In Miscarriage?

My wife is pregnant and had 2nd ultrasound at 7week & 6days doc says there is a growth in a fetal pole but cadiac activity is missing asked for another ultra next week Is it normal? She had a miscarriage in 2011 After that this is our first pregnancy Is there any medication to avoid miscarriage this time

hello, i have gone through your query and i understand your concern. To avoid miscarriage you can take progesteron supplements (e.g.cap Sustain 200 mg Once a day). Cardiac activity usually comes by 6.5 wks but if its not present yet i am afraid its not normal but definitely you must do another ultra sound next week before reaching any final conclusion.
