Can a weight loss pill given short term help in changing lifestyle ?

Can a prescription weight loss pill given short term help in changing lifestyle? I am 29 years old, 5'4, and 195 lbs. I am down from 210 lbs with diet and exercise, but it's went down to 183 and I'm up again. I keep going down and up and down again and I'm having a hard time staying consistent with the new lifestyle change. Would taking a prescription weight loss pill like phentermine be something that could help me, or would it be more of a risk?

Hello Glaibley

Welcome to this forum.

I think phentermine, amphetamine like, pills are helpful in weightloss but the risk are more than the benefits that you incur. I really appreciate your outlook in losing weight and I encourage you 'N' number of times to go on physical exercise, diet and behavioural modifications to finally reach the goal.

There are some pills like 'ORLISTAT' instead of phentermine to help you in loosing the weight. You can seek your local doctor help in its prescription. First know who should not use these pills and what are the precautions to be taken while on this pill. Mind you this pill should not stop you from your lifestyle modification but should supplement in reaching the goal.

It is like a foot ball game, you have to dribble and dribble and finally hit a goal and a special foot ball shoe will help you in dribbling and faster approach to the goal. The foot ball shoe is like a pill here.

All the best
