Can A Sudden Change In Diet Cause A Fructose Intolerance?

Hi I have been suffering from severe reflux for 12 months. Drugs have not been successful. I have lost 15 kgs (not originally overweight). I have changed my diet to low carb and had some success. I have been diagnosed as having a fructose intolerance. My cholesterol was fine and then suddenly the bad cholesterol leves rose within a 2 month period The only difference was I was eating about 10 eggs a week (3 weekes only). The doctor has given me statins. I have a very healthy but calorie limited diet. Is this my bodies reaction to my current condition rather than a bad diet related issue? it seems a such a sudden jump.

Hi, Welcome to health care magic forum.
As you describe, you had a rise in cholesterol, with in 2 months when you was using the egg, regularly. Yellow of egg contains more of cholesterol. That might be the cause of the rise in cholesterol.
Statins will controle the cholesterol effectively.
Once you stop taking egg continuously it will stop rising.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
