Can A Snake Bite Cause An Abnormal Growth On The Site Of Bite?

My daughter was bitten by a rattlesake in Aug 2009, she is now having to have surgery tomorrow morning in Rapid City, SD, on the same foot, same area she was bitten, she has an abnormal growth there, that was not there prior to the bite, could this be related possibly?

Thank you for asking!
Yes it is possible and most likely as inflammation there might be severe enough to lead to healing by secondary intentions which may result in abnormal scars and granulations which can be corrected by a plastic surgeon and nothing to worry about.
I hope it helps
take care
