Can A Red And Inflamed Hair Follicle Pose Any Danger During Pregnancy?

Year ago I had an infected hair follicle on myupper thigh lanced. I've recently had another sore on my leg for about a week n a half.. it was a lump, red, inflammed, took baths like crazy. Last night, all the blood and pus came out, its flat and not lumpy, and no longer painful. My only concern is that is bruised or something. Its deep purple colored when I keep it covered... shoshould I be concerned since there no pain and no bump??
And I am 6 months pregnant

Hi,

You need not worry about an infected follicle and pregnancy. You can apply some antiseptic ointment like Neosporin over the area and keep it clean and dry. If it's discharging blood and pus then please consult your doctor and inform them of your pregnancy before taking any oral medications. It should get well in a week's time.
