Can A Pregnancy Test Be Negative But I Still Miss My Period?

HI. I have not had a period since 10/11/2014 it is now 02/04/2015.my cycle is very regular up until this. I havent been to a dr yet. I havr also had many other pregnancy sympotms. I need some insight. I have taken mulitple hpt and all of which said negative. I dont know what to do. Also i went to the emergency room on 11/06/2014 due to having extremely sharp pains/cramps in my lower abdomen which i believe would have been the implantation period. I feel pregnant at times. Please help...

Hi,
I understand your concern.
- There are several conditions which can lead to lac of menstruation. They can be- severe weakness, excessive exercises,PCOD, hormonal imbalance, some pitutory/ thyroid problems., uterine fibroids.
In case you want to confirm/exclude pregnancy blood HCG test/ USG abdomen would help.
- The pain you had seems to be typical in PCOD cases. Implantation is usually charactorized by spotting along with sometimes mild pain.
- From your pregnancy like symptoms it seems to be hormonal imbalance. For exact diagnosis, a detailed physical examination by a gynecologist & investigations like CBC, hormonal assay, USG abdomen,thyroid function tests are usually done ,which lead to pin point the cause- this is followed by specific treatment.
