Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Pap smear, especially using the brush technique is harmless to the pregnancy. Precaution must be taken not to irritate the cervix while handling the tissues. The polyp is of significant size and may lead to improper closing of the os. If this is suspected, the origin of the polyp should be judged well, it is then removed with all precaution and an encirclage done to protect from any cervical incompetence arising. This should help to salvage the pregnancy. Please discuss with your health care provider for further management. Hope this helps.
