Can A Person Walk, Drive A Car, Ride A Bike, Walk Up Ramps After A Fusion Of Both The Subtalar And Ankle Joints?

My husband needs fusion of both the subtalar and ankle joints. he is concerned about how he will walk, drive a car, ride a bike, walk up ramps and on slopey ground after the operation. he is in a lot of pain because of arthritis in these joints in his right ankle and can t walk that far now.
