hi welcome to healthcaremagic
Any patient who is recovering from coma of any origin will take sometime to totally recover. Coming to full cognition and interact with people may take some more time as senses improve gradually.
He may be able to hear but still not be able to express till his speech domain starts operating.
wait till he recovers completely
All the best
