Can A Missed Abortion With No Cardiac Activity In The Pregnancy Improve?

gestational sac seen, sac margin seems regular gestational sac measures - 19 mm, yolk sac seen, fetal pole seen, fetal cardiac activity not visualized, CRL - 3 mm(6 weeks 3 days) ?missed abortion. my last date of period was on July 30th. what is the condition now? is there any hope in waiting for a review?

Hello,
In the current scenario, a definite diagnosis is established after repeating the sonogram after another week. This is coupled by serial titres of serum beta-hCG. If the pregnancy is healthy and progressing well, the titres double every 2-3 days. If there seems to be no improvement after all these measures, you need to go for termination of the pregnancy. Spontaneous abortion can often occur in a week or two, but, since it is a missed abortion elective medical induction is preferred with a follow up sonogram after two weeks to ensure completion of the process.
